Apricot

Turkey is the first country in the world in apricot production. Malatya, Elazig, Nevşehir and Niğde, which are among the provinces where apricots are produced in Turkey, produce for drying and other provinces produce for table purposes. The Mediterranean and Aegean Regions have an extremely suitable ecology for apricot cultivation. Predominantly, "Hasanbey" variety apricots are produced for table use, "Hacıhliloğlu" variety apricots for drying. Approximately 80-85% of dried apricots produced in our country are exported. It is exported to 70 countries.
