Peach

Peaches are grown all over Turkey, and half of the production is done in the Marmara Region. Early varieties are produced in the Mediterranean Region, and late varieties are produced in the Marmara and Aegean Regions. It has an important place in world production and export. The peaches produced in Turkey are generally yellow-fleshed varieties (early; Earlyred medium early; Dixired, Cardinal, Red Globe late; J.H Haale, Cresthaven, Monreo etc.). Its fruits are large, attractive in appearance, firm flesh, high aroma and fragrant. In addition to fresh consumption, specific varieties are produced for canned food and fruit juice. In recent years, there has been an increase in the production and export of nectarine varieties because they are hairless.
